The artistic research project Jazz & the City: Identity of a Capital of Jazz – conducted from 2011–2013 and supported with a grant of €122,000 from the Austrian Science Fund – examined jazz traditions and identity in Graz since 1965, using a combination of artistic and scientific research methods.

The research results were published in the book Jazz & the City: Jazz in Graz von 1965 bis 2015 (Leykam Verlag) and the CD Jazz & the City (and me...) (Alessa Records).
